WHAT A 6TH AVE CONTRACTOR NEEDS TO KNOW

PLEASE COLLECT AS MUCH OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION AS POSSIBLE. ONCE COLLECTED, CONNECT YOUR CLIENT WITH THE RENOVATION DIRECTOR VIA EMAIL AND INCLUDE ALL OF THE INFORMATION YOU HAVE GATHERED.

Things you Need to Get Answered from the Customer:

  •  Complete Scope of Work — get as detailed as possible.

    • What is their top priority (has to be done)

    • What items could they leave out

  • Do they want or need a designer?

    • We recommend that everyone use a designer for selections. It saves time by taking out all of the internet searching and money by using the designer’s vendor’s connections and discounts.

  • Pictures of current rooms and items that will be included in scope of work.

    • This is a must! If you are unsure of what to take, take a video and explain the scope of work.

  • Measurements of each room included in scope of work (length, width, and height)

    • If you do not have a tape measure, then walk it off with your feet. Something is better than nothing.

  • Budget and how will they be paying (cash or loan)

    • If they do not know, then use the cheat sheet to press for a number. Most of the time the budget will be the ARV minus the offer price. But you need to try and get this number from them.

  • Project Timeline

    • When do they want to start; when do they have to finish?

    • Factors in this decision will be where they will live during the renovation, holidays, etc.
